Depression is a common but serious mental health condition that affects how a person feels, thinks and behaves. It goes beyond temporary sadness, often involving persistent low mood, loss of interest in things once enjoyed, fatigue, difficulty concentrating and changes in sleep or appetite.
Therapy can play a crucial role in managing depression by providing a safe place to explore thoughts and emotions, identify negative patterns and develop healthier coping strategies. Over time, this can support greater self-understanding, resilience and a renewed sense of agency over one’s life.
